Safety

How can I stay safe?

-Before using any wearable inflatable, we highly recommend checking out our safety video located here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ51ihAEnrs

All our suits that cover the wearer’s head are designed with emergency valves out of abundance of caution for our customers: one valve is near the mouth, and at least one is near a hand.

When you first receive your suit, the very first thing we recommend you do is find the emergency release valves. If there are none, absolutely do not play alone. Make sure you have someone to never take their eyes off you. Establish a movement to indicate distress before beginning play. Your play partner should have a sharp pair of scissors to cut you out, just in case.

If there are emergency valves near your fingers, make sure you are always touching them. If there is one near your mouth, move the material around so it’s positioned next to your mouth.

If you are playing solo, which is way more dangerous and we highly discourage, you should use a snorkel mouthpiece instead of the upgraded CPAP mask because it will allow you to grab the emergency valve near your mouth with your teeth. In fact, it’s safer to inflate by mouth manually by keeping the snorkel next to your mouth, but have your mouth over the valve. Breathe in while blocking the valve with your tongue and then exhale into the valve to inflate the suit. This way if something goes wrong, you can just let the air gush back into your mouth and you can breathe off the suit air. Additionally, set up a call with a trusted friend who can get into your play location and call the paramedic if you don't check in at an agreed time.

You should always block the outside port of your breathing tube for a couple seconds before zipping the suit up and make sure it stops all air going in and out to make sure you are not leaking any air because this could indicate that your tube is not connected properly and you should investigate it. It is recommended that you do this right after inflation to make sure the tube is still good. If it’s not, you need to deflate the suit immediately and investigate. It’s not a bad idea to carry a retractable box cutter in the suit with you. Remember though, a knife or box cutter only helps if you are conscious and can use it.  If you ever have to cut or be cut out of your suit, we will fix your suit free of charge.

Some of our suits provide inflation around the neck, so users should be aware that it can be very tight on the neck and can cause you to lose consciousness. Death has occured due to this in the Squeaky Community. Saliva can also accumulate when sleeping or while unconscious, causing aspiration and death. This is why we say always have a Play Partner or Safety Monitor.

Do not use any item that covers your head in conjunction with drugs or alcohol, or in a situation where you may lose consciousness. Lack of proper airflow can lead to a buildup of CO2  or saliva and can easily lead to death. Our items are fun, but also carry a high amount of risk. Never use them alone!

About Our Products

Are the inflatable suits double layered?

Every suit we have sold so far to date has been double layered. Keep reading below for an explanation.

Are the inflatable suits double chambered?

-The majority of our inflatable suits are single chambered. They are however double layered, meaning that the air inflates between two layers. Some of our designs can be made as double or even multi-chambered. Some designs lend themselves to easily make a double or multi-chamber design and others are very difficult to make into a double or multi-chamber design.

What’s the difference between double chambered and double layered?

-Double layered and double chambered are two very different things in the world of Wearable Inflatables. We create our double-layered by gluing two inflatables together to create a wearable item that “hugs” the wearer.  Double or multi-chambered means there are actually multiple separate air chambers (usually one under the belly of the person and one behind the back but sometimes arms and legs can also be separate chambers too), and the wearer actually climbs in between the chambers and is suspended while inside. This allows the wearer to feel like they are “floating” between the layers. Customers should be aware that double and multi-chambered items are always more expensive due to the amount of extra materials and labor that goes into creating them. Double and multi-chamber designs tend to be very restrictive and make it hard to move or walk.

I’m new to the Squeaky world. What does it feel like to wear an inflatable? What kind of item should I start with?

-Each customer describes their experience with wearable inflatables slightly differently. The feeling is like the world's best hug. The feeling can be either very calming like a weighted blanket or very erotic depending on where your mind takes you. Wearing it without any clothing or underwear is a highly recommended experience for two reasons: clothing can become wet from sweat which becomes very uncomfortable. Having no clothing actually keep you very comfy. And second, the material feels sooooo nice against all your parts . Maybe people also like the transformation aspect. Either becoming a new magical cute creature or becoming a toy for someone else to play with.

We recommend a new user start with something simple, such as our inflatable bomber jacket, shorts, or 4 ft beach ball suit.

Ordering and Shipping

I tried to place an order payment but it says that it will not be shipped to my address.  Do you not ship to me anymore?

-Most of the time when this issue arises it is because the Terms and Conditions has not been agreed to on the Checkout Page. If you have checked this box and continue to have problems, please reach out to us. (See below image for reference)

What forms of payment do you accept?

-We currently accept as forms of payment the following:

Paypal, ApplePay, and GooglePay. We do not accept partial payment, but a few of the payment options listed above are forms of payment plans.

How long does it take to get my order?

-Unless it is listed as IN STOCK, your order could take up to 6 months to receive. Rarely does it happen that it will be this long, but due to the number of orders we receive and the small size of our company, it can take up to that long.

I got a notice that my item has a shipping label, but I haven't seen any movement on the tracking. What's going on?
-We are still a very small company and generally are only able to do shipping dropoffs twice a week. We do our best to get your order out quickly, but it can take up to three business days from the time your label is printed to the time it makes it to the post office.

My package says it was delivered but I never received it!
Unfortunately once your order leaves our hands, we no longer have any control over the shipping. If a package goes missing during shipping we are able to request an inquiry with the shipping company (generally USPS) but that is all we are able to do. No refunds or free replacements may be issued for an item that does not arrive due to shipping issues.

Do you ever have anything In Stock that I can order and get quickly?

-Occasionally we will have an item created as a prototype, as an apprentice project, or just have an order cancelled. When this happens we list the item as IN STOCK, and sometimes it is at a discounted price. These items generally only have one or two in stock and are sold as-is, so once they’ve been purchased they are gone. We encourage people to keep an eye on our store as these items come and go quickly.

What is an Apprentice project?

-As we take on new crafters, they need to learn the ropes. We have several projects that each crafter must create before working on orders, so we oftentimes have extra items for sale at a discounted price. These may have minor issues such as scrunched material or extra patches, but are still quite usable and want a kink-loving home.

I love your products, but can’t afford them right now. Can I pay in installments?

-We understand that full payments can be difficult to make for some items. Most of our payment options have made it easier for US customers by creating an option for payments in installments. This option shows up at checkout when purchasing your item. If you'd rather save up and purchase your item when you are ready to pay in full that is perfectly fine too. We create each item on a per order basis, unless otherwise noted in the listing, so there is no rush.

Is shipping discreet?

-When you purchase one of our products, our shipping is generally in a regular cardboard box, mailing envelope or occasionally we will reuse an Amazon box or the like.

What delivery service do you use?

-We use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for all our shipping.

Can you postpone shipping my item until a certain date?

-Unfortunately we are a small company that has limited space and resources. As such we try to get orders out as quickly as possible and are unable to hold orders long term. We appreciate our clientele's understanding in this matter.

I’ve moved since I placed my order. Can you change my shipping address?
-If your item has not yet shipped, please use the Contact Us form to let us know about this. We do our best to keep all shipping information updated. When you contact us, please include the name the order was made under, the order number, your email address, the date that the old address will no longer be valid, and specify the old address as well as the new address (labeling them old and new helps us).

Custom Orders

Do you do custom orders?

-For custom orders, we request you visit our Etsy page: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CandyCoatedSqueaks

-We will be happy to talk with you about your custom order! We will request pictures or sketches when we start talking as they are really helpful to us so that we can easily tell if it is something we are able to create for you. While we do our best to keep orders in-house, there are sometimes requests that we don’t feel qualified to create. In these cases we might speak with one of our trusted suppliers to see if they can create it for you. If we request the supplier to make it and sell it through us, we will always work to reinforce the most commonly stressed parts of an item and test it to make sure it is durable before sending it to you, so that your item will stand up to wearable stress. With some requests we may suggest you contact the supplier directly.

What’s the process for custom orders?

-When you contact us regarding a request for a custom order, we will request that you send us a detailed sketch and/or reference material and provide as many details as you can. Details that will help us create an estimate can include (but are not limited to) vision preference, if you want added sph/access tunnels, specific colors, if you would like anything other than our standard snorkel mouthpiece for breathing, etc. Once we have this information we will work to create an estimate for you and send it to you. Upon your approval of this, we will create a unique listing and send it directly to you through messages. You will need to be sure to read through the description and verify that everything is included. Once you have purchased the listing the fun begins! Next we will request specific measurements. From here we will work with our production partner to get a rendering of the design. When it is created we will send you the rendering for approval, and once approved they will work to begin building it. When it is complete it will be shipped to us for our three-stage quality control testing process and reinforcement of any weak areas that we find. Once it has passed testing we will pack it up and send it to you. We generally expect custom orders to take anywhere from 4-5 months to be created and shipped to you once the listing has been purchased.

How can you make sure that the suit will fit me?

-Once you have placed your order, you will get a request to fill out our measurements form. Filling this out accurately is imparitive to making sure your suit is made correctly, so take your time and make sure everything is measured properly. We cannot move forward with your order until this is completed.  It may seem like a lot, but we want it to fit you just right!

Please note that most custom orders are created by printing your design on base colors of PVC. As such, these items should be cleaned accordingly. See the Caring for Your Item section for more information.

Repairs

I have PVC that needs to be repaired. What do I need to do?

-Please contact us through our Etsy store so that we may get more details and give you an accurate estimate.

Some of the details we will request are:

-What kind of garment is it?

-How big is the tear? (Pictures with a ruler or tape measure will be requested)

  -Where is/are the tear(s)?

Once we have discussed this in the messages, we will create a unique listing for you and instruct you as to where to send the item for repair. We will also request that you complete our RMA form and include a printed copy with your shipped items. As we receive many items continuously, this form will help keep your items together.

I have latex that needs to be repaired.

-Is the item chlorinated?

Once we have discussed this in the messages, we will create a unique listing for you and instruct you as to where to send the item for repair. We will also request that you complete our RMA form and include a printed copy with your shipped items. As we receive many items continuously, this form will help keep your items together.

Once repairs have been completed, we will reach out to you and send a direct link with the balance for remaining labor and return shipping. You have up to 1 month to pay this, afterwich a storage fee will be added for each additional week it is not paid. Items will not be shipped until the full balance, including any storage fees, has been paid. This information is included in the RMA that is required for any repairs to be made. This storage fee may be altered should the customer contact Candy Coated regarding a payment plan.

Latex Chlorination

What is Chlorination?

-Chlroination is a service that we offer for latex items. In essense it undergoes a chemical change that will make the rubber less stretchy but very slick.

You say it becomes "less stretchy". How "less stretchy" are we talking?

-The material will be about 10% less stretchy. Please take this into account when you are purchasing an item if you want it chlorinated. Less stretchy also means that the material is slightly more prone to rips and tears.

Why should I get my items chlorinated?

-Chlorination makes latex items feel very slick, even with no silicon or powders. It also reduces mild latex allergies, though people who are truly allergic still should be careful and avoid latex. It is good for people that want to slide against other people wearing chlorinated latex for an almost zero-friction play time!

Does chlorination make my latex less sensitive to daylight or sweat?

-While it does help some with oxidation damage over time, the chlorination process does not make latex less sensitive to daylight or sweat. All items should still be washed and care for it as you would unchlorinated latex.

What's the science behind chlorination?

-The chlorination makes the rubber molecules at the surface undergo a chemical change that turns them into neoprene l, which is a rubber that is less stretchy and very slick. It is still a porous rubber so it can still absorb sweat and body liquids.

What should I know before getting my item chlorinated?

-Since the chemical change adds just the thin layer of molecules on surface, abrasion from rubbing against things (especially on the knees and elbows) can strip off the chlorination. If this happens (and it will in certain spots after years of use), it can be chlorinated again to fix it. The process of chlorination will make the rubber less stretchy and will look unpolished, as the thin layer of chlorination blocks you from seeing the shiny latex. But don't worry! You can add polish to make it shiny again! It takes a lot of polish to saturate the latex after it has gone through chlorination, but it's worth it. Once the item has been polished it can look dull again if the item brushes against something, but simply reapply some polish and it will shiny again.

You should also know that some metals may lose their shine when undergoing the chlorination process. This is normal, and simply a byproduct of the chemical reactions.

Lastly, for best results be completely dry before getting into your latex, as once the latex gets wet it no longer is super slick. (It will become slick again once it has been cleaned and dried.)

Suit Rental

I want to rent a suit. What do I do to get it?

-To be able to rent a suit, you will first need to join Candy Coated's rental club. To join, simply fill out the google document here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc306S6h0_KFLTm0dW3-ohZKrVK6HqmE_DPPArVz9jJRI8ZYg/viewform. Next you'll need to pay a $500 deposit for each suit. This deposit covers cleaning and any repairs needed upon the suit's return. If you return the suit in excellent condition, the deposit will either be returned to you or you can roll it forward to your next rental.  Once you've paid the deposit you will be able to rent your preferred suit.

Once I've rented my suit, how long does it take to get to me?

-This depends on a couple factors. First, if the suit is already rented out to another person at the time. Secondly, where you are in the world as shipping internationally can take up to 8 weeks due to Customs etc.  No matter what, you will receive an automatic notificiation once the suit has shipped.

How much does it cost to ship to me?

-Again, this depends on where you are in the world. We are located in the United States, so if you are in another country it will depend on Customs etc. Shipping is calculated automatically, but you can easily find out the estimated shipping cost. Simply add the suit that you'd like into your cart, then start the checkout process. You'll be able to select your shipping preference and see the cost before continuing on to payment. No payment is required to get to this point.

Is return shipping included?

-No. You, the renter, are responsible for all return shipping fees for rentals.

I live outside the United States and I don't want to pay the full amount for import duties. Can you list the price lower on the shipping information?

- While we are able to accommodate this, we will not be able to put insurance on the shipping. As such, if the suit gets damaged or lost in shipping your deposit will be forfeited and used to cover the replacement of the suit. So, keep in mind there is a risk.

Using Our Products

After I ordered my wearable inflatable I got a message requesting I sign a customer agreement. What’s up with that?

-Some of our wearable inflatables require the customer to sign an agreement basically stating that they are aware of the risks when wearing the item. This agreement must be signed before your item can be shipped to you. You have up to 1 month to sign this agreement from the time your item is completed. If you refuse or neglect to sign this waiver we will refund your money and cancel your order.

Can I use my inflatable suit on my own?

-We recommend always having someone with you whenever wearing an inflatable suit. Seriously. If you do not take proper precautions you could die. While we do all we can to create safe play things, sometimes items do not do what they are supposed to when being worn. Because of this we recommend that your play partner always have a pair of scissors close at hand for emergencies, and/or the wearer to have a closed box cutter in hand.

What should I use to inflate my new inflatable?
-Do NOT use an air compressor to inflate your new item! This will fill with too much power and will create tears and holes extremely quickly. We generally recommend for small items using a Coleman QuickPump but for larger items we highly recommend the MetroVac Magic-Air Dida 4 or the Artigarden Electric Air Pump for Inflatable Pool Toys. Whatever you use, do not exceed 1 PSI or damage will occur.

Can someone bounce on me while I am in the suit or can I bounce on the suit with no one inside it?

-We design and test the suits so that they can be laid on top of and bounced on gently. If you get really freaking horny and get buck-wild, you will probably split a seam somewhere unless you pay extra to have us reinforce every seam.

How do I get in the inflatable suit?

As stated before, always have a play buddy with you. You will want to unzip the suit while it is deflated, step into it, zip the suit up, and then have your play buddy inflate it. Never inflate the item when it is unzipped as this can damage the suit!

How do I breathe in my wearable suit?

Breathing is definitely an important thing to do, and we want our customers to be safe. All of our wearable inflatable suits are crafted with a breathing tube and a snorkel mouthpiece unless upgraded to a CPAP face mask. The breathing tube’s exit location on the suit will vary depending on the suit, but we try to make it simultaneously practical and unobtrusive.

Can I wear my inflatable suit in the water?

-This is so incredibly dangerous. It is so easy to accidentally submerge your breathing tube and then you will probably die. We strongly discourage this.

I want to order one of these for my kid to play with.

-No. We create these items for adults 18 years and older. These items are not meant for children and could be hazardous to a child’s health. This is one reason we require a customer agreement to be signed.

I’ve really enjoyed my inflatable but it has a hole/leak in it. Can you fix it for me?

We are so sorry to hear that you have a problem with your item! While we hope never to have an issue, unfortunately holes and tears do eventually appear with use no matter how careful a person is with it. This is just due to the nature of the material. This is why we send a square of patch material with each item, just in case.

For simple holes and tears, it’s a pretty simple DIY fix and it can save you a lot of money in shipping if you are able to fix it on your own. We have several resource videos on our Youtube channel for at-home fixes so we highly recommend you check that out. These fixes require scrap material (provided when you receive your item) and HH66 glue (also referred to as “pool liner repair glue” or vinyl cement). If you cannot find the HH66 glue, we do sell repair patch kits in our store. In these we provide a piece of clear material, a syringe of glue, and a needle with which to dispense the glue. If you feel that it is just too much work or too difficult to repair yourself, we do offer a vinyl repair service on our Etsy store as well.

Should you decide to purchase this service, please be aware that shipping to us as well as return shipping is not included in the store price, and you will be charged an additional fee. (This is because we cannot predetermine the size or weight of the item until we have it in hand.) Additionally we cannot guarantee a quick turnaround and repairs can take up to 4 weeks before being sent back to you. We try to provide all the resources that we can to our customers so that they may continue to enjoy their inflatables at their leisure.

Can I fill my inflatable with helium? What happens?

Inflatables *can* be filled with helium but you won’t float away. There isn’t much difference felt when wearing an item filled with helium than when it is filled with regular air. About the most you can do is fill an inflatable with a string tied to it to make your own pvc balloon that floats (some may require heat stretching to become large enough to float) . (Which could be fun!)

Can I open my suit when it is inflated?

We strongly recommend unzipping your suit ONLY when it is completely deflated! If you open the suit while it is still inflated it can easily cause damage to the suit, especially along the zipper.

Caring For Your Item

How do I clean PCV?

It is best to clean immediately after use because the longer the material is exposed to your body fluids, the more of the precious plasticizer that makes the material oh so soft will be pulled out of the material, leaving it hard. If you’re in a hurry, at least give it a quick rinse. The easiest way to wash it is to take it in the shower with you and use dawn dish soap (just a few drops per square foot of material… too much is not good for the material) to help remove any body oil that can damage the pvc if left on for too long. In a pinch, isopropyl alcohol can be wiped over an area to clean it. Hang to dry and turn inside out after a few hours to dry the inside. A commercial floor drying fan can assist in drying. Paired with a dehumidifier running in a small bathroom will dry it very quickly.

If you are cleaning a custom made item, chances are good that there is printing on it. These should be cleaned and left inflated to dry so that no area of the printing is touching another printed area. Once it is completely dry, powder the inside and outside with cornstarch before storing. If you skip any of this there is a high probability that the printing will peel off the next time you use your item.

How do I clean Latex?

If it is chlorinated, wash it with dawn dish soap or similar. The easiest way is to take it in the shower with you. Hang to dry and turn inside out after an hour to finish drying.

What lubes can I use with latex and pvc?

There is only one lube that is safe with either latex or pvc and that is silicone. All others will dry out and cause the material to crack and fall apart. With PVC, the silicone should only be used for short periods of time and never left on the material during storage or while not being used because it will draw out the plasticizer. It won’t do it as quickly as things like oil but it will over time. Wash off any silicone from pvc using Dawn dish soap. Latex on the other hand is perfectly fine to leave for long periods in silicone. In fact, it prolongs the life of the item because it keeps air from oxidizing it and breaking it down. Latex can be preserved indefinitely in a bag full of silicone. NEVER EVER use mineral oil, baby oil, coconut oil, lotion, or anything with petroleum in it (even most water based lubes have petroleum in them) as it will cause pvc to get hard very quickly and crack, and it will cause latex to grow several sizes and fall apart.

Is it possible to sanitize pvc or latex?

Yes, both materials do very will with light bleach water (one cup per 5 gallons) or Lysol wipes. Isopropyl alcohol works well too.

What is the best way to store an inflatable pvc suit?

Store by loosely folding (never fold tightly because tight creases in the material cause damage) and storing in a pillowcase/cloth bag, storage bin, or on a shelf in a cool dark place like a closet.

What is the best way to store latex or pvc clothing?

Only use a plastic hanger (never metal) if it is something you use frequently or just for a temporary time. Long periods of time on a hanger without moving the material can cause runs, stretches, and even a breakdown of the material. For long periods, store pvc dusted with cornstarch or talc powder or use tissue paper between folded material. Fold loosely and store on a shelf, in a cloth bag, or in a storage bin in a cool dark place. If latex, store either powdered in talc or soaked in silicone in a sealed zip-lock bag.

Can I inflate my suit without being in it?

Yes! But be sure to have the item zipped up completely when you inflate it. Inflating it while it is unzipped will risk damaging the suit.

I see a lot of options for additions like sheaths, tunnels, sph, pleasure tubes, etc. What’s the difference between all of them?

We use the term “tunnel” to describe an access tunnel that we create from the outside of a suit to the inside to give access to the person inside so that their penis, vagina, or anus can be reached. This allows play or sex while the person is wearing the suit. We use the term “SPH'' (Strategically Placed Hole) to describe a pocket designed for a person to put their penis inside for play. We use the term “pleasure tube” to describe an SPH with its own inflatable chamber surrounding it.

How long can I stay in my new inflatable?

As stated above, all of our enclosed wearables come with a breathing tube to allow a steady supply of fresh air for the wearer. But how long you can wear the inflatable really depends on how active you are. If you are relaxed and not sweating you can be in there for up to a few hours. However if you are actively playing, we generally suggest limiting your play time to about 20-30 minutes at a time as the inside of the inflatable can get very warm. We also highly recommend turning the room’s temperature down to about 65ºF (18ºC) and having water nearby as the wearer can get overheated or dehydrated very quickly.

Why is there a piece of material in the care packet that came with my inflatable?

Over time all inflatables will get leaks or tears, no matter how careful a user is. While we do offer a repair service, oftentimes simple repairs can be done at home by the customer. We send a piece of material that either matches or compliments your purchase so that when repairs are needed you the customer has a patch available. We recommend holding onto this for the future.

What colors do you have for material?

When creating our clothing line, as well as our in-house crafted pleasure tubes, we generally use material from PVC-U-Like. You can see all the color options for materials here https://pvc-u-like.com/ColourSwatches.aspx. Please note that not all items are available in all materials.

Why does it look like there are already patches on my brand new item?

As we construct our products occasionally a leak or hole will appear. Sometimes they are in the factory made item, sometimes they are from the combination of two items being glued together. To repair these holes and leaks we need to use patches. These patches may be visible but we do our very best to integrate them by using similar or the same material as the original product.

What is your Quality Control Process?

Because we want each item to be the best it can be before we send it out to a customer we do a three-stage quality control process.

The first stage is an overnight inflation test where we blow the item up and make sure there are no leaks. Second is stress testing by wearing the item if it is a suit or bouncing on it if it is a toy. (We always make sure to wear something underneath the suit for sanitation purposes.) After this the item goes through yet another overnight inflation test. If at any stage a problem arises, such as a leak or tear, we fix the issue and begin the testing process over.

I just got my order in the mail, but it’s covered in powder. What is it?

All of our PVC items are powdered in cornstarch and our Latex items are powdered in Talcum powder. Both of these powders are used to prevent sticking in shipping, which can then result in tearing when you first use the item. These powders are quite easy to rinse or wipe off. If you are purchasing a PVC item and have a corn allergy, please contact us immediately after ordering to notify us so that we may find an alternate way of packing for you.
