Please watch this video on how to properly dust your latex before sending it to us.
For the protection of our employees, all pieces must be cleaned and dried thoroughly before shipping to us. ANY ITEM THAT IS RECEIVED DIRTY WILL BE RETURNED TO THE CUSTOMER WITHOUT CHLORINATION. Latex must have all lube and polish washed off (preferably with a dish soap such as Dawn), and be dusted with talc powder before shipping to avoid sticking and tearing.
Chlorination is a surface treatment for latex that makes it feel as smooth as silk without polish. It allows dressing without the use of powder or lube. PLEASE SEE CAUTIONS in description below.
We offer chlorination services for your existing small latex clothing/accessories. One service purchased here will cover one pair of socks OR gloves OR underwear OR shorts OR one bra OR one hood, etc.). Ship it to us and we will provide the chlorination treatment and ship it back.
NOTE: This price DOES NOT include the return shipping fee. As different items weigh different amounts, a separate and unique invoice will be created for your item's return shipment.
Not sure which service you need to purchase? Contact us and will be happy to assist!
Please note that there is an additional Metal Masking fee of 50¢ per piece of metal attached to the garment. This fee is for masking each metal piece before chlorination begins as to help protect it from corrosion. This will be charged separately once the garment(s) has been received by CCK.
Before shipping to us, please complete our Latex Chlorination Service form and add a printed version to your item(s) that you are shipping to us. This will help us keep your item(s) together while servicing.
RETURN SHIPPING: Free shipping for this repair item is not provided as each order weighs differently. Because we do not know what it will weigh ahead of time, we will bill your return shipping separately upon completion. We will be happy to let you know ahead of time what this return shipping will be if you can provide us the box size and weight of your item.
CAUTIONS:
-The chlorination process WILL make your garment slightly less stretchy.
-The chlorination process MAY discolor or damage non-latex components of your garment, such as METAL and PLASTICS. By submitting your garment(s) for chlorination, you recognize and accept this risk; we cannot be responsible for any adverse outcome to non-latex components.
-The chlorination process WILL very likely turn excess glue left by the original maker a white color. We can not know ahead of time if this is going to happen and we cannot take responsibility for this if it does. Most decent makers do a good job cleaning their excess glue off and this is not an issue.
-If your latex has had silicon polish on it constantly most of its life, it will likely continue to weep out of it even after chlorination, causing a whitish blotching. We cannot be held responsible for this. If this happens, you can remove it by buffing the area with a wet rag a a a few drops of Dawn (or similar) dish soap or you can also do it with latex polish, such as BeGloss. The idea is to help work out the old silicon that is inside the latex. It does take a good bit of buffing and time but it will come out. If you do keep silicon on it all the time, you MUST strip it off using Dawn dish soap after each time you wear it or your sweat will mix in and eat away at the latex glue, causing your seams to release and also cause the latex to slowly break down (and stink like yogurt!)
